Wilson Turner Kosmo Advances Kaitlin Preston to Partner

Promotion reflects Preston’s excellence in litigation, mentorship and commitment to inclusion

SAN DIEGO (Jan. 30, 2026) – San Diego-based law firm Wilson Turner Kosmo, one of the largest certified women-owned firms in California, has elevated products liability and warranty litigator Kaitlin E. Preston to partner as of Jan. 1, 2026.

“Kaitlin is a trusted advocate and generous mentor, who reflects the values our firm was founded on,” said WTK Managing Partner Carolina Bravo-Karimi. “We’re proud to have her help guide WTK forward as a women-owned firm and champion for diversity in the legal profession.”

A partner in the firm’s Product Liability and Warranty practice groups, Preston delivers high-value representation to clients across industries by aligning legal strategy with business and litigation goals.

“Kaitlin has earned the confidence of our clients with her precise legal analysis and practical, business-minded guidance,” said Products Liability and Warranty practice chair Rob Shields. “She approaches each case with a clear focus on protecting a client’s interests in the most cost-effective, risk-reducing manner. She also has the rare ability to communicate effectively with judges, technical engineers and opposing counsel in a way that both commands respect and earns trust.”

Prior to joining WTK, she represented insurance carriers, business owners, retailers and construction companies throughout California and also gained experience in the niche practice of equine law. Preston’s broad client base and practice experience have equipped her with the ability to thoroughly analyze complex matters and develop effective strategies from initial pleadings to trial and successful resolution through motion practice or mediation.

Actively involved in the legal community, Preston serves as the Product Liability chair of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Defense Lawyers Association and Construction Litigation Management.

She earned her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Redlands. In recognition of her professional accomplishments and community leadership, she’s been included in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch® for Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants.
