The Special Alert on the California Court of Appeal’s recent holding in Vaquero v. Stoneledge Furniture LLC regarding rest period pay for certain commissioned employees is now available. Highlights from the ruling include a discussion as to when employees paid on commission are entitled to separate compensation for rest periods and that employers violate this requirement if they pay employees a guaranteed minimum hourly rate as an advance on commissions earned in later pay periods.
