San Diego attorneys Juanita Brooks and Vickie Turner have been named to the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's national list of leading law firm rainmakers. They are the only California attorneys to make the list of 14 attorneys. Additionally, only four women were named to list.
Brooks is a principal in the San Diego office of Fish & Richardson P.C. while Turner is a partner at Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP.
Brooks is in the top echelon of intellectual property attorneys in the country. With a nationwide trial practice specializing in complex intellectual property litigation, she has excelled at attracting and retaining clients, including many Fortune 100 companies. Throughout her 33-year career, Brooks has handled more than 80 trials. Her average yearly caseload hovers at 25 active cases.
Nationally known for her product liability expertise, Turner is a top litigator to Fortune 100 companies, including such household names as Honda and Ford. Throughout her 27-year career, Turner has successfully defended manufacturers, distributors and retailers in complex product liability claims throughout California and in 12 other western states.
Turner became the first African American partner with one of the largest San Diego-based law firms before joining Wilson Turner Kosmo as partner in 1998, where she leads a team of attorneys and paralegals in handling hundreds of products cases.
